Colorado State University–Global Campus
In 2007, the CSU System Board of Governors supported the creation of a new 100 percent online degree university. The new online campus was designed to provide access for the burgeoning non-traditional student population to an affordable quality public university education. Specifically it targets the underserved, nontraditional students who are unable to physically attend a four-year university to complete a degree.
CSU-Global Campus is the first of its kinds in the western United States among large public research universities. Its programs are driven by the needs for professional development of the workforce.
In September 2008, CSU-GC entered into an alliance with the Community College System to increase access for graduates of community colleges to earn a four-year bachelor’s degree. Students who graduate with a Colorado community college associate’s degree will be automatically granted admission to CSU-GC to complete a four-year degree. Educational partnerships have been established with state and local government agencies and the military to provide affordable and accessible education that will help enhance Colorado’s human capital.
