The CSU System has three campuses, each with distinct roles and missions.

The CSU campuses serve the state, region, country, and world, educating nearly 60,000 students annually, and contributing to the world through research, thought-leadership, and the economic and civic impacts of highly skilled graduates.

Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the System’s flagship institution, is a doctoral-granting research university with a student body of more than 33,000, with one out of four students being first-generation scholars. As the state’s only land-grant institution, CSU has been serving Colorado since 1870. CSU boasts top-ranked business, veterinary medicine, and journalism schools, as well as groundbreaking research in atmospheric sciences, infectious diseases, and clean energy technologies. In addition, the CSU Extension offices, providing services to all 64 counties in the state, offer community-oriented education, research, and 4-H programs.
