Special Meeting of Board

The Colorado State University System Board of Governors posted a public notice, along with an agenda,  that it plans to hold a public meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at the CSU System office, 410, 17th Street, 24th floor.

The full board, which includes student and faculty representatives, plans to discuss the following matters in a public session:

  • Resignation of Mr. Joe Blake from the CSU System Board of Governors.
  • Appointment of a replacement to fill the vacancy of Mr. Blake’s seat, who will serve the remaining term, which ends December 31, 2010. If there is a vacancy mid-term, the board has the authority, per statute, to fill the vacated seat,
  • Designation of finalist for chancellor.
  • CSU Fort Collins president position.

The board may take action on the aforementioned, which all has to be done through a public vote of the board. The public can sign-up for comment, but all signatures must be in by the start of the board meeting.  Sign-up sheets will be available outside of the meeting room. The board plans to convene in executive session at one point to discuss a pending lawsuit.
